Welcome to Kindergarten
2020-2021
Kindergarten Staggered Start Schedule
Here is the staggered start schedule for the first week of school-
Half of the students will come for a full day on Wednesday, the other half on Thursday. Parents should have received a postcard notifying you of what day your child will come. Students will be in either Room 2 or Room 3 for the day, and will get to know all the teachers. This day will be a fun day to learn some of the school rules, do some activities and see important places in our school. We will have recess and lunch as normal.
Parent informational meetings will be in Room 1 with one of the Ridgeview teachers. This is a chance to fill out some paperwork and ask any questions you have.
NO students will come Friday, Sept. 11th. Teachers will be making class lists this day.
Class Lists will be posted on Friday afternoon at 4:00.
Monday September 14th will be the first day of school with classrooms all set!! Looking forward to a wonderful year.

We believe this ‘staggered start’ method will be helpful to both your child as well as our kindergarten team. Many of our kindergarten students have never experienced school before. This is a new transition for them, especially attending for a full day. By providing teachers with smaller groups of students, this will eliminate many of the worries our youngsters may bring. In addition, this schedule will provide an opportunity for our kindergarten team to get to know all the children through small group activities as they begin to learn about school. Further, teachers will be able to observe, assess and get to know children and parents before developing class lists.
I am looking forward to a great year in Kindergarten. I can't wait to meet the students and parents and work together to make a WONDERFUL beginning to a lifetime of learning. See you very soon.
Sincerely-
Mrs. Thompson
