Sharing Format

          Sharing is a favorite time in kindergarten.  It is a time for students to learn to get up in front of the class to speak, to reinforce letter and sound connections, and a great way to learn from each other. 

         We like to make sharing a fun game.  Please send your child’s sharing in a brown paper bag.  On the outside of the bag, help your child write three clues as to what is in the bag.
 

For Example:          1.  It starts with the sound /a/

                                2.  It is a fruit
                                3.  It is red     

          

         After your child reads the clues to the class we will take three guesses from classmates.  If you guessed an apple you’re correct.  I will send home sharing items on the same day they are sent in.

•     Please do not send any toys to school.  They can be very distracting to learning.  I also ask that you do not send anything of high value as accidents do sometimes happen. 

I hope you and your child enjoy preparing for sharing.  It is a fun part of our day in kindergarten.
