ABC Calendar Countdown

This year we will be counting down to the last days of school. Follow the schedule below to see what you can expect to be doing in class for each letter of the alphabet on the way from A to Z. Underlined descriptions remind you that you are supposed to wear or bring something special on those days! We hope everyone participates in our special celebration!

5/12     A         Art day—create a special art project in class

5/13     B         Butterfly Symmetrical Art-we will be creating symmetrical art

5/16     C         Crazy Sock day—wear Crazy Socks to school today

5/17     D         Donut day—we will enjoy eating donuts

5/18     E          Experiment day—experiment with science

5/19     F          Favorite Fundraiser—“Jog-A-Thon” day wear running shoes and

                        comfortable clothes!!

5/20     G         Game Day—We will be playing games today  (Early Release)

5/23     H         Hat day—wear a hat today

5/24     I           Insect day—we will be making insects in class

5/25     J          Joke Day-  Bring your favorite joke to share

5/26     K         Kite Day--  We will be making kites in class

5/27     L          Let’s Get Moving-- Field Trip to the National Academy of

                        Gymnastics…More info will be sent home prior to the field trip.

5/30     M        Memorial Day—No School

5/31     N         No Homework Tonight!

6/1       O         O—compete in obstacle courses

6/2       P          Parachute Day!—We will be playing with the parachutes today

6/3       Q         Quiet Day— We will be extra quiet today!

6/6       R         Relay Races-  We will have relay races in the gym today.

6/7       S          Summer Birthdays— If your child has a summer birthday

                        you may bring a treat and we will celebrate summer  birthdays.

6/8       T         Twin Day— dress like a friend today

6/9       U         United Together- Make New Friends-- ALL three kindergarten classes

                        will spend time interacting and playing together from 12:00-2:00.

6/13     W        Watch an Educational Video--

6/14     X         X-tra Special Day  “Welcome to Kindergarten Highlights Mark this

day on your calendar!  Parents are invited to attend the last 30 minutes of the day  (2:15-2:45)

to celebrate the “Kindergarten Highlights”!!!  We will be sharing their; All About Me books, Transportation Books, ABC Scrapbooks and more!!

6/15     Y         Year-end clearance day—clean up desks and the room

6/16     Z         Zip up your bag and dive into summer—Last day of school!
