ABC Calendar Countdown

This year we will be counting down to the last days of school. Follow the schedule below to see what you can expect to be doing in class for each letter of the alphabet on the way from A to Z. Underlined descriptions remind you that you are supposed to wear or bring something special on those days! We hope everyone participates in our special celebration!

5/17   A       Art day—create a special art project in class

5/18   B       Butterfly Symmetrical Art-we will be creating symmetrical art

5/19   C       Crazy Sock day—wear Crazy Socks to school (Popcorn day)

5/22   D       Dance Party- we will dance to “Go Noodle” kid songs

5/23   E       Experiment day—experiment with science

5/24   F       FriendsDay—We will be celebrating the friends we have made in Kinder

5/25   G       Game Day—We will be playing games today 

5/26   H       Hat day—wear a hat today  (Early Release)

5/29   I        It is Memorial Day—No school

5/30   J        Joke Day-  Bring your favorite joke to share

5/31   K       Kite Day--  We will be making kites in class

6/1     L       Let’s Get Moving—Jog A Thon Day! Please wear running shoes and

                        comfortable clothes!!

6/2     M      Mismatch Day—Wear clothes that don’t match!

6/5     N       No Homework Tonight!

6/6     O       Obstacle Course—we will compete an obstacle courses during recess

6/7     P       Parachute Day!—We will be playing with the parachutes today

6/8     Q        Quiet Day— We will be extra quiet today!

6/9     R       Relay Races-  We will have relay races in the gym today. (Early Release)

6/12   S       Summer Birthdays— If your child has a summer birthday

                        you may bring a treat and we will celebrate summer birthdays.

6/13   T       Twin Day— dress like a friend today

6/14   U       United Together- Make New Friends-- ALL three kindergarten classes

                     will spend time interacting and playing together from…12:00-2:00.  FLAG DAY

6/15    V        Visit 1^st Grade Classrooms Today

6/16   W      Water Day  Be prepared to have some fun today

6/19    X       X-tra Special Day  “Welcome to Kindergarten Highlights Mark this

day on your calendar!  Parents are invited to attend the last 30 minutes of the day  (2:15-2:45)

to celebrate the “Kindergarten Highlights”!!!  We will be sharing their; All About Me books, Transportation Books, ABC Scrapbooks and more!!

6/20   Y        Year-end clearance day—clean up desks and the room

6/21   Z       Zip up your bag and dive into summer—Last day of school!
